Poseidon 1 is a 1974 Formula Thunderbird 23'.  It was completely rebuilt removing almost all the wood and replacing it with Diab composite foams to be strong  enough to handle the abuse that we dish out on a daily basis.   The transom was built using a two 1" layers of 34lbs engineering grade foam with continuous strand glass impregnated for strength.

The stingers were all replaced and all the ribs in the boat.  We even integrated knees In the stringers that add strength to the transom and so far years after the rebuild we have had no problems.  The tow bit was a integral part of the design and built with the boat and not as a after thought.
